August 4, 2011

A weak trough of low pressure off the Pacific Northwest coast and a ridge of high pressure near the Mexican border will bring dry and seasonably warm conditions to the Sierra into next week.

This weather is about as calm as it gets for Tahoe: winds will generally be light, and the threat of thunderstorms is minimal.

Highs will be in the 70s around the Lake and the 60s at 7000 feet.

We will likely see a slow warming trend early next week, with highs in the Sierra reaching into the 80s. But we won't see any scorchers.

Just more lazy days of summer.
