Tahoe's mellow midsummer weather will continue into this weekend and beyond.

We're snug between a ridge of high pressure over the desert southwest and a trough of low pressure over the Pacific Northwest. With neither pattern able to get its full grip on the Sierra, we are left with warm, mostly clear days but nothing too warm.

We should see temperatures climb a bit over the weekend but still remain slightly below normal.

Winds will also be calm, for the most part, with afternoon breezes picking up on the lee side of the mountains, especially.

Don't look for much change in this pattern at least through the middle of next week.
