The thunderstorms that have been raking the Tahoe Basin this week should be wrapping up this afternoon and tonight as an upper level trough that's been supplying the moisture moves east. We could still see some fast-moving storms later today, mainly east of the Sierra in Western Nevada.

A newly arriving system will push through far Northern California Friday and Saturday but will not have much, if any, effect on Tahoe's weather.

Friday should be dry and clearer, but colder, and then a slow warming trend will shape Tahoe's weather over the weekend and into next week. By the middle of the week look for high temperatures 6 to 8 degrees above normal for this time of year.
